Carver TFM-45 or a Sunfire Stereo 300x2 would be nice fits if you want to go Carver. There are others that would be good fits, such as Rotel and Adcom. The Gear... There are many amps that will drive your 25's. I have not had receivers for some time, but separates, many will do the job. What is your price range, you could find many in the used market and great for your application. By the way, do not listen to those that state more wattage is better. Watts are Watts, but not all watts are the same. Do not pay attention to those that has nothing to contribute to your question as such. 300 watts, yes you can use it, there are thousands of companies that claim such numbers, but not all of them can perform.

Many people will advise you to buy used. If you prefer new and don't want to spend a fortune you might consider this

Of course, you may not need five channels.MAIN: Polk Lsi9s; Polk PSW505; Lsic (in box); Onkyo SR-875; Parasound 2250; Cambridge Audio 740C; LG BD370
OFFICE: Polk Lsi7; REL T3; HK 3490; CA 840W; Onkyo C-S5VL

If you want to buy a new, 2 channel amp, and you're willing to go as high as $1500, you might try one of these:

500 wpc into 4 ohms---sounds sweet (after break in). The drawback, apart from having to pay for it, is that not all speakers sound sweet with class D amps (LSis do), so your speaker upgrade options in the future will be a bit limited. Big advantage, you can carry it with one arm. And maybe you won't want to upgrade. -

Adcom 565 mono amps . . . 300 wpc. You can them pretty cheap on ebay or audiogon. -
Are you going 2 channel with the Lsi25's or beginning to create a HT? Certain amps sound better with certain speakers, trust me. I have used a Luxman M-117 amp and Carver amps with my Lsi 25's and both sounded excellent. If I run my old SAE amp, not so good for some reason but the SAE amp sounds great with my old Monitor speakers. Really, all of the gear is going to affect your sound, such as the pre amp, speakers wires and acoustics of your room. The amp is a building block. A quaility amp that can pust out at least 200 watts stable into 4 ohms would be a good start.Polk HT system 1: LSIC, LSI25 mains, LSI F/X rears, Lsi F/X rear centers,

I know i'm gonna catch some flack but here goes! If you'd like to get new amp's with warranty at reasonable price's check out the Emotiva stuff, they're having a pretty good sale that's on 'till the end of the month. IMHO you get quite a bit of performance for your $$$
I also seen a trio of low hour (approx 20hrs) xpa1's on agon earlier today for like $650 or so each, they come with a 5yr warranty that is transferrable so you'd be coveredMedia Room 7.1
