Anyone have this? I just got it from Amazon to go with the yamaha universal player they had on sale today. Was this a good first choice for SACD?

    Meh... if you like that kind of stuff. I would have gone for something a bit more "classic" so you would have an idea of what the upgrade is like. DSoTM or Brothers in Arms... something that you already had on redbook and/or are very familiar with. Just me though. YMMV

    Nevertheless, enjoy! SACD's are my latest money pit.

    well I already have the Redbook..or least a burned copy from my days as a swing dancer.. so at least i'll have something to compare it too.. I really like her voice and the whole jazzy/blues thing.

    Great choice! Great recording and mastering. Terrific jazz standards! I listen to that SACD regularly.

    Next, get Diana's "The Look of Love".

    I got the S1800 - amazon had it on lightning deal for 80 bucks yesterday..had to check with the wife that nobody had gotten me a universal player for xmas though since I listed three I had been looking at.
    for only 80 bucks if I don't like it I can always turn around and resell it.
