Quick Amp question

Does an amp have to say that it can handle a 6 ohm load to power them? For instance, my Soundcraftsmen amp is rated at 205 watts for 8 ohms, and I believe 325 watts for 4 ohm. It says nothing about 6. I'm assuming if it can handle 4 ohms, it can handle 6, correct?

Thanks.

    Yes.....
"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Yep, that Soundcraftsmen will power just about anything. Remember, speaker impedance ratings are "nominal" which means an impedance of 8 ohms is just an average over the frequency band for that speaker.

To better illustrate, here's a Paradigm Ref Studio 60, rated nominally at 8ohms, note how impedance shifts with differing frequencies (solid trace). This one sweeps from 3ohms minimal (@ 200Hz) to a max of 23ohms (@ 75Hz):

I'm not sure I understand that. It's okay though, not all is meant to be understood. George says he know what people would say...well let's see.

What would be better to power SDA 1C's - the Soundcraftsmen PCR800 OR a B&K ST-140. Anyone have experience with either of these amps actually powering these speakers?

    Thanks
