Marantz SR8001 Question

I have been running this unit in my living room set up for a couple years now and have had a problem with the video portion of the set up. Whenever I play a game or put a blu-ray/dvd in the PS3 I get a blinking on and off of the video signal on the TV. I have the PS3 run via HDMI (1.3) to the receiver then out to a 50" Panny plasma. I recall hearing about a software update and even emailed the local shop I purchased it from but got no response, now they are no longer listed as a dealer...$hit!:mad: Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if there is a solution other than shipping the pig back to Marantz?

Don't E-mail them, go there E-mails are easy to ignore. They should still be able to do something for ya.

I had some HDMI handshake issues with my SR8001, but they went away with a combination of firmware updates for HD-DVD player and making sure to manually turn components on in a certain order. I think it was TV on, receiver on, source on. Worked without a problem then.

Thanks for the replies, I'll have to go visit the place I purchase it as a first course of action I guess. I think I tried to email Marantz and that did not work out, no response at all.
