I should learn that ebay sucks sometimes. I won an auction the other day for a yamaha htr 5590. Now mind you I think I got a fair deal on this, but that is not my problem he is the one that didn't have any type of reserve or bin price so whats fair is fair IMO. So now on to the problem I got it yesterday and after opening it and inspection I found that one of the feet had been broken during shipping. What is it these day with the way people are packing and shipping stuff. He had put some bubble wrap around the edges and some on top and then stuffed broken pieces of filler on top and sides. Nothing and I mean nothing on the bottem :mad:. So I sent him and email asking what we could do about this and this is the response that I got from him.

i'm sorry to hear that, but pix would defenitely help. and as
you can tell i defenitely packaged it well and test it prior to boxing it
up. The only thing we could do here is put a claim with UPS if the pictures
are justifiable as you can tell at the end i barely made forty or foty
dollars for this four hundred dollar unit when purchased from bestbuy and
not to mention after ebay fees, paypal fees, and a thirty two dollar
shipping fees from UPS which i only charged u thirteen dollars for it. So
let me know if there is anything else i can do here.

I realize that he mentioned about getting ahold of ups but with all the bitching about the fact that he didn't make hardly any money on this is again not my problem. Ok I guess my rant is over for now.

I wonder how often USP and other shippers have to pay out because people don't know how to properly pack stereo equipment for shipping?
