We're going to pull the trigger on a plasma HDTV in the $1000.00 or less range this Christmas. I was sold on a 50" 720P plasma Panny until I read a less than great review on it. I'm now hearing decent things about the LG line of plasmas, especially since a 47" 1080P is within our price range. Anyone own one of the LGs, if so, what're your impressions of it? Thanks for any help you can offer !:)

I don't have much input on their plasmas, or even their TV's, but I'm looking at an LG as I type this and if it's any indicator, it has a vibrant and bright picture. They are pretty good panels for the money.....Home:

Pannys are good Plamsma TVs they have some of the best PQ, That being said we have two Samsung Plasmas that have incredible PQ as well.. look around for deals we got our 50" 1080p plasma for 1099 and you can probably find better deals than that around for 1080p, which you might want to with if you are going to go 50". LG is pretty decent as well.Main 2ch -

I've been eyeing this 50" 1080p Panny plasma at BB. On sale this week for $899. Anyone familiar with this set?

Best Buy has a 50" Panny Viera (720) plasma on sale for $799.00. For the money it will be hard to beat a Panny. FWIW one of my employees used to be a manager at Circuit City, he told me to steer clear of LG stuff in any form. Another great place to pick up a set is Costco, they double the warranty and offer a no questions return policy for 90 days, got one of mine there....they have a Panny 50" for $699.00 right now!"Thats great... but how does it sound"
