Drilling holes in CSi3

Have any of you ever drilled holes in the speaker casing? I want to suspend the center channel above my TV in my entertainment center and the only way to do so is to run screws through it. This won't impact the sound quality, will it? Even though I am running screws through it the box will still be sealed...just wanted to get your thoughts.
On a UPS truck on the way to my house as of 12/09/09:

Fronts: Polk RTi4
Center: Polk CSi3
Rears: Polk RC85i (in-ceiling)
Sub: Polk PSW110

Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR607

Patio: Polk Atrium 45

Accessories: Onkyo UP-HTI HD Radio Receiver, SIRIUS SUPH1 Home Kit, Onkyo UP-A1 I-Pod Dock

I am not sure, and have not done this myself, however I think it would in fact change the sound of the speaker. I remember seeing an Ebay poster getting plamed like no other for using cast iron brackets screwed into Monitors to hang them

Can you describe in more detail how you plan to 'suspend' the CSi3 in your entertainment center?

Maybe by brainstorming with the collective brain power of CP, we can noodle out a plan so that you don't have to drill holes in the CSi3. :D

It shouldn't affect the sound. just dont expect to resell it if you ever plan to. If the seal is not tight it will cause whistling at higher volumes.

I was thinking of using L brackets to hang it with. I thought about constructing a shelf to suspend from the top of the entertainment center and then just placing the speaker on that...which I might still do. Just exploring my options at this point!

I would avoid drilling holes in the speaker if at all possible. I would see if there is any way to build a shelf or something.
    Front - RTiA5's
    Rear - RTiA3's
    Center - CSiA4
    Sub - PSW110

Since there are no pictures, kind of hard to see what your planning. As an option, you might see if the Omni Mount CCH1B would work for you.

I use it in my HT setup and it's holding the CSi5 just fine. The back legs telescope so it can be supported on almost any TV back. Also, I put felt on the shelf where it would come into contact with the top and front of the TV. Also added felt to the shelf itself just to make it a little more slip resistant.
