Well I am bored today so I thought I would share my fathers setup.

Yamaha receiver "dedicated amp I believe"
Yamaha 5 cd changer.
Monster 10 gauge wire
Kef Model 2 speakers

Now the sad part is he only uses the system for Christmas other than that it usually never gets turned on.

Well he just likes to enjoy music. My father on the other hand if he ever turns it on any other time. It is playing one of the fallowing:
    Billy Joel
    Elton John
    Neil Diamond
    John Denver
    Jimmy Buffet

But it is usually only John Denver OR Neil that is about it. By no means am I insulting him. Because it is his system he can do whatever.

Tell dad to position those speakers better than the right angle he currently has. Funny,my brother has a Bose 1-2-3 system and swears by it. I chuckle everytime he comes over and asks me where my subwoofer is hidden. {don't have one} He doesn't understand the concept of quality sound, only marketing hype. To each his own though,so I leave him alone.
    HT SYSTEM-
    Sony 850c 4k

Exactly what I was thinking, the better care and/or less use means someday you'll get some nice vintage for your own. I always think about the fact that both my sons will eventually wind up with my gear someday so I make sure I take good care of it for them ;)

    Cheers!
