These are about an hour away from me and was wondering if they are a good deal or not. Seem a little rough around the edges.
I don't "need" them but could use them upstairs in the living room.

I considered those seeing as how they come with stands and everything but that'd be pushing my budget (shipping).

Rough around the edges....? Where? If you mean the stands..sure..but the speakers themselves look pretty good.

I must say that I 'really' like the sound of LSi-9s when powered well! A nice addition to any room....450 not bad--except for those stands...I don't like those.

I'm not big on the stands but if I buy them maybe I can spice them up a little.

Maybe they should have taken the pawn shop stickers off the side before they listed. Still a good deal

Rough around the edges? They look like they're in pretty good shape to me.

I've been drooling over the LSi9's ever since I heard them a while back. I wish I had the coin.

I talked with the seller last night and he informed me they do have some scratches but not bad.
I've been trying to get rid of stuff and now this!!! I gotta be F'ed up. But I'd really like to try them out in my own system and for $400-$450 I don't think I can go too wrong.

OK I am going to buy them after everyones advice and thanks.
My wife won't notice the other things, CDP IC's and tubes I just bought but she sure will notice these. Kind of hard to have them go unnoticed like the tubes and IC's. These will have to be my official Christmas present to myself :)

Maybe after I listen to them for awhile I'll re-do the X-Overs.

I basically just bought them just gotta work out pick-up arrangements. A real nice thing is they are closer than I thought, less than 45 minutes away.
Can I just hook up my existing speaker cables? They are not bi-wired cables and I will not bi-wire them. So, do I need jumpers?

ask them if they have jumper plates when they bought it....if they don't then make one using wires and banana plugs or spades....

alot of people remove the jumpber plate between the posts....but to answer your question, yes you can hook them up using existing cables....

Well I tried but he sold them to someone else. I am surprised but don't really care that much since I don't "need" them. The seller said he had a guy swing by Friday and pick them up and didn't want to wait till tomorrow/Monday which is good for him I hope.

No big deal. I would not have done that but what the hell, its New Jersey!!!

Maybe I should spend that money ($450.00) on something else. I was not even going to try and work him down to $400.00 in the deal.
