Is anyone near Houston 77062 interested in an 805? It is in excellent cosmetic and working condition and is about 2 year old. I am the first owner and it is a A-stock unit. It has never been abused and has at least 3 inches of top clearance in a fully open cabinet. I still have all accessories and the original box.

Price is $460 pick up which I prefer or $460 + shipping(by UPS) and I'll eat the Paypal fee.

Package Info: 22.5" x 22.5" x 13" 60.4 lbs. to Zip 77062 (so you can calculate your shipping cost). I'm not sure how much my local UPS charges for shipping but it should not be any different from their website.

I know my post count is low but most of the time I just hang out here to read so please don't attack me :p

I'd say blame the economy for the most part.

Beautiful AVR btw, many happy owners here on the forum alone. Goodluck with the sale!

What did you replace it with? I'm curious because my setup is similar to yours (Onk 805, RPA-2, LSi15's)

I could not resist and bought the yamaha Z-11 at the clearance price. Check the egg on the weekend cause last week they offer it at a very good price.

Somebody out there is going to enjoy a really 'nice' AVR..that 805 can handle ANY 6-8 Ohm speaker very well!

And it ONLY took you over a week to sell it! I'd say that's dxxn good!

I currently have an 805 and have drooled over the z-11. How big of a difference has it made? Are you using all 11 channels? Just curious.

I am stuck at 4.1 channels now. I'm looking at the OWM3. It seems to be perfect as presence fronts and rears due to flexibility in mounting. Hope it blends well with my LSi.

I only have the Yamaha Z-11 for less than two weeks but my first impression is pretty positive. The Z-11 runs cooler and very responsive in HDMI handshaking. It is able to lock the signal faster than the Onkyo and switch between surround modes without any audible noise. It is as quite as a cat

I always use the Onkyo as analog pre-amp for the 2 front channels when listening to music (all of my CD players are hooked up through analog connections and the receiver is always set at straight/direct mode). The Yamaha is setup the same way. I always feel that my ERC1 sound a little bit harsh at high volume with the Onkyo. Well it is quite surprise how a good pre-amp section can make. The ERC-1 sounds extremely smooth and clean through the Yamaha with no fatigue at all.
