Yamaha YSP-900 Soundbar
I got a new Sharp 46' LCD from Walmart and found a Yamaha YSP-900 for $249 at BestBuy in NC. It was by far the cheapest price that I had found.
I wanted to get a Polk but wasn't able to find anything comparable to that price that is amplified. Any suggestions or anybody else tried the ysp-900.

That is by far the best price I've seen on one of those! I've never heard one, but often wondered how they would sound. I would think it would have to have some crazy witch craft going on in that thing to avoid some sort of "line array" effect. If you want simplicity though, it would probably be hard to beat that price and performance as far as sound bars go. Maybe someone with some experience on one of these will chime in soonSony 40" LCD

I never used it but heard good comments on the YSPs. The major difference between them and the Polk is that you need walls for bouncing the audio to simulte the rear.DARE TO SOAR:

Don't forget, Polk has the SB42 and SB50 which aren't powered but the IHT and 360 DVD theater are.DARE TO SOAR:

I have thus enjoyed the Yamaha soundbar. I am in the process of trying to tweak its location. It doesn't appear to be very loud...LSI 15
