I just bought a Rotel RB 993. What connections are the best? Does is take spades (what size) or do bananas work just as well. They will be for my LSi15 (fronts) and LSiC. Going from a grossly underpowered receiver so I hope this improvement makes them happy! Thanks.

Bananas are easier to work with. My experience with spades is that unless you can get the binding nut really really tight they come loose.
