Contrary to what I thought, the Vikings are a pretty good team that has managed to keep it together rather than implode so far. Favre is arguably having an MVP season (again). Unfortunately for them as a team I think there are stronger ones out there that they will have lots of trouble with, especially in the playoffs. Never can tell what will happen with injury, though.

Indy and New Orleans are going to be very hard to stop, but either are beatable, obviously...since they have both had some close games.

Then again, they are close games that they won.

It's snowy here in WI right now with a foot of snow on the way, so I'm hoping for some of the same in Green Bay tonight. The Raven's defense is NOT what it used to be and Green Bay's defense is overrated at #1 (look at the offenses they have faced -- 5 of the worst in the league lately). Very good, but overrated. The Ravens have a better offense than defense, but Flacco looks like he's having a sophomore slump.

No, I'm an ****. Get it straight.

As far as being a **** about it, check out the fanboi's previous posts even back to the preseason and you'll see some lovely commentary.

It took a while for them to hit the meat of the schedule but now that Minnesota is playing some better than average teams, the gushing from the fans has stopped. Even the professional analysts are back-peddling.

You know what's funny? If this was the Cowboys in this position and he was a Cowboys fan, everyone would be bagging on him. But because a mouthy Vikings fan is being called out for lame behavior and I'm the only one with big enough stones to be as big of a jerk to him as he was to the rest of us, I'm the "tool", "****", whatever. But you'll tell me that the multiple efforts to get a rise out of other fans is friendly ribbing. Sucks to be on the receiving end of acid laced commentary about the team you're a fan of, huh?

Then again, I'm not really teaching a lesson. I don't even dislike the Viqueens. I dislike Favre but I still find the Viqueens intriguing. But there are only two sets of fans in all of the NFL that are more tiresome and distasteful than Viqueens fans. Raiders fans and Eagles fans. The only difference is that Eagles and Raiders fans know they are and they relish in the fact as a sense of pride. That, I can respect. Viikings fans are just as boorish and when told they are being so only say that others are jealous and mean-spirited.

You want to discuss football, discuss football. I'm all for it. I love analyzing the game! I love looking at what players are doing and how teams are interacting. But I study the game fairly extensively and I have my own opinions about it. I'm prepared to defend my opinions as well. That also leaves me prepared to shoot down outlandish claims like most of the stuff that comes out of Vikings fans mouths. Everybody takes the chance to burst my bubble but when I burst someone else's, I'm a jerk.

I honestly miss the days when I first got here and people argued with me with real arguments instead of crybaby, bleeding-heart whining about how callous and insensitive I can be.

whatever man..you must have some real **** Vikings fans as friends..

to me NOBODY is worse than Packer fans as far as being dilusional...I know because I went to a Wisconsin university

Well, the Packers defense looked rock solid! Playing at Lambeau certainly helps, but Rice was held back both on the ground AND in the air. Not a lot of teams have done that as effectively as GB did tonight...

That being said, the penalties were absolutely out of control! Rodgers would have easily had 300+ yards if it weren't for all the pass interference. (Which I needed, losing by a mere 4 pts tonight!)

not being a dick...just an observation after spending 4 years in WI. That's when I realized Badger and Packer football is more than a sport in that state.

Yeah that was a wild game last night. And the wind affecting the place kickers was crazy. The Packer's kicker Crosby usually has a pretty good hook to the left but you can tell he's still fresh on 3 years in to his career as a place kicker. Otherwise he would have shanked harder after he watched the first kicks hooking left and then all of a sudden make a right turn and sail wide. 'Cause him to miss one of 3.

But overall I was very impressed with the Packers secondary. The D-line harassed Flacco all night but they never really got to him. They only had 3 sacks all night and one of them was because the Ravens O-line was pushed in to Flacco who then tripped and fell. But he had alot of scrambling to do to wait for a receiver to get open on many downs. Flacco earned his paycheck last night.

The Ravens didn't look that bad on defense either. I think they got beat solidly by a better offense from the Packers but aside from those couple of drives before the half where the Packers just marched down field twice on the Ravens, they played a solid defensive game. The Ravens offense just didn't put enough points on the board when it counted.

And yeah, the pass interference calls were nuts. Like every 5 minutes it seemed, pass interference.

Oh and I noticed something about Rodgers. He's pigeon toed. He walks with his toes pointed inward and he favors his toes when he's walking, like he's walking on his toes, tip-toeing around. Yeah, weird thing to notice, I know, but I couldn't figure out what it was about Rodgers that bugged me and...well...that's it. It bugs me because it reminds me of the whining mama's boy kids in grade school who walked on their toes and cried about everything including not having been assigned homework for the weekend on a Friday afternoon. The ones you just wanted to smack in the head just on principle 'cause they had that kind of face.
