I've narrowed down my choices a bit, so if you have anything I'm looking for send me a PM.

Please no links to ads [ebay/craigslist/audiogon].

Prefer local but can deal with shipping if you're not too far from IL.

Looking for either some Paradigm Studio 20's (no version 4 since they're past my budget), LSi7's, something from Focal or Monitor Audio (no bronze line speakers) or older Polk's like SDA 2B's, CRS+, Monitor 10's or anything related.

    WELL THAT ain't going to happen.

    I am inquiring about some LS90's, but they might need a tweeter (1) seeing as how the original owner literally.....get this, painted it. I'll be able to audition them, but I imagine that tweeter will sound different.

    Well, you gotta tell me if you want them for sure or not, goofy. I can front the money, your end of the deal is that you'll have to get them out of here when you come out here on Saturday. :)

    It's tough, it's either the 8T's or LS90's (for $225). What do you think?

    If you can afford the LS90s, and it seems you will be able to, since you got rid of your Maggies, i'd go that route.

    The 8Ts are cool, but they're not on the same level as the LS90s.

    LS90's.. that is no brainer if those 90's aren't in need of rehabilitation. Were the tweeters ok?

    You will pleasantly surprised with the 90's.

    Haven't checked them out yet. Told the seller I wouldn't go out there unless I was able to commit to them, that's what sucks about living in Chicago (everyone is always 1+hr away).

    I'll pass on the 8's for now. Give it more time to see if anything different comes up :)
