I still think Modern Warfare 2s single player is a big puddle of vastly over-rated pish, and all the talk recently of glitching and cheaters online just confirms my suspicions that multiplayer wasnt worth getting involved with either. Still, if youve been on the arse-end of the now infamous Javelin Glitch rest assured that Infinity Ward are working on it Robert Bowlings on the case. Patch 1.06 is still coming down the pipeline, he says.
Using a glitch in a game to get an advantage is explicitly called out in the ToU. Its not like people are doing it by accident, said Xbox 360 online boss Stephen Toulouse. So, do the glitch on your Xbox 360 and face a ban from Live. Do it on your PS3 and youll probably get an invite to some kind of beta, though, as Sony dont really seem to care. Praise be, then, for Infinity Ward. And a little bit of common sense.

It happens in nearly every game, so that's weird that you haven't seen it. I hope anyone doing it gets banned. Always a dickhead out there who can't play the game straight up and has to resort to cheating.

agreed. I didn't really know what it was until I got into a game and then thereafter everyone and I mean EVERYONE was doing it that wanted to and knew how. Seriously I got into a game where there was about 8 people on the other side doing it and 2 on ours. So annoying and so cheap. To me these are the problems they need to fix rather than doing away with party chat. The glitches are more of a concern to me than would be someone cheating through party chat. They always find a way. -

Hey hey hey now!!!!
haha, were you doing it too?
C'mon now, you know you're more than talented enough to not need to resort to that.
In all seriousness, I don't think you're gonna have any problems unless a certain number of people report you. Most people aren't gonna bother. So if you're gonna do it, make sure it's not a habit. -

Well, the difference is of course doing away with the party chat in certain game modes was something they did intentionally. Allowing a guy to cork a nade and blast the Javelin off killing everyone around them when they get shot was not intentional.
All the people doing it are taking advantage of a known exploit -- which is of course cheating.
I was starting to wonder how people were on their 4th/5th + Prestige already and the reason was all of the Javelin exploit kills. Those are the people, specifically, I hope they can ban from XBox Live. Certainly they shouldn't bother with people who merely tried it out. -
I haven't run into the javelin glitch playing hardcore!
I hope they also fix the glitch on derail that allows you to float above the map. -
I hope they fix the god-like powers that the shotguns hold."Dr Dunn admitted that his research could also be interpreted as evidence that women are shallower than men. He said: "Let's face it - there's evidence to support it."Best Buy is for people who don't know any better. Magnolia is for people who don't know any better and have more money to spend.

I agree, I mean I know they did it intentionally. It just annoys me that if your going to try and prevent cheating, which is the main reason I heard why they took away party to chat, then make sure glitches get addressed ASAP. to me preventing cheating through the party chat is minor, compared to things like this. I mean I know someone will always find something to do like this in a game when its first released, but to me most people seem to cheat via glitches. I never really had a problem before in all the time I played (which was a lot seeing I was single and in college lol) with people cheating through chat, or that I knew of, and I really didn't even think it was a problem till they said something.
I just get annoyed with cheats, and mods, ect. To me I just want to play the game and if your good your good, my hat off to you. but if you need to cheat in order to level up, thats just sad, and hope the people get baned for good doing it. -
It's annoying as hell man, I agree.
The biggest complaint have on the XBox 360 is when we group up and add someone to our party invariably 1 or more people get's left out and you have to leave the game (take a loss) until you can get them in. That's the thing that annoys me the most. -

Yes, just getting a game started with a group can be frustrating - I get "full server messages" on ocassion when trying to link up and yes your group is broken up frequently only to have them add some other stranger to your team?
Hopefully they will do more to address some of this stuff - they are going to take in a billion dollars - throw us a couple bones.Analog Source: Rega P3-24 Exact 2 w/GT delrin platter & Neo TT-PSU Digital Source: Lumin T2 w/Roon (NUC) DAC: Denafrips Pontus II Phono Preamp: Rega Aria MK3 Preamp: Rogue RP-7 Amp: Pass X150.8 Speakers: Joseph Audio Perspective 2, Audio Physic Tempo Plus Cables: Morrow M4 ICs & Audio Art SC-5 ePlus, Shunyata PCs Misc: Shunyata Hydra Delta D6, VTI rack, GIK acoustic panels -
we had a very strange thing happen the other day. We were in a private match just me and 3 other guys. All of a sudden we had a ton of people joining into our game. It was a close gamed and everything and we have no idea how anyone got into it. We ended up having a full blown deathmatch going on even though it shouldn't have been. It was a very very werid.
