Not sure if this is the right place to post, but....

I have an SR12 sub that I bought a long time ago and have never taken out of the box...I would like to build an HT/Music sub with it

Can I use this sub with a plate amp for this purpose, or would it mess it up ?

Can you use a car sub to make a home sub ?

I don't see a problem with it. A sub is a sub. Some auto sound subs don't dig as deep, in a vehicle it does not matter, because of the "room" gain. But then again a lot of home subs really don't do sub bass un-less you pay for a real SUBwoofer. I think the SR would be an excellent choice for a DIY home sub.

    Later,
