Okay after recently missing a pair of RTA15TL's and a pair of Forte II's. I am kinda looking back at the SDA2a's that I was asking about last week. Well seems the TF-400's have come up for sale cheap locally as well. Heard of them but know nothing about 'em.

Polk speakers, I have some background with. Read about the TF's but was wondering if anyone could give some thoughts about them. They sure look cool and would probably be more wife friendly. But I don't want to sacrifice sound for looks. :D

Since I owned a pr. I know how great they sound.

You should run and get them. You won't be disapointed! I promise unless a woofer or tweeter is blown.

^ There is another seller locally with a pair of 2000's for $550. I think those were their flagship model from what I have read. I'd love to have those but don't have the cabbage right now for them. :(

I own alot of Polks still. I Love them. I still own some dcm stuff too but I should've kept those 400's. They were the best dcm I owned.

I listed them for sale with-out re-listening to them. ( I was medicated pretty well because of pain I was suffering )They sold in 1/2 hr. after listing them! I then checked to see if all drivers still worked and man did they still work. I'm a man of my word so I sold em for what I listed them at...50.00:(

The TimeFrame series were some good sounding speakers. I can't remember how they sounded well enough to offer a comparison to the SDA's. I had the TimeWindows with the Phillips tweeters for a while and they were very good most types of music, with the exception of hard rock.

The top photo looks wierd with the passives? and then the plastic grills?

I've heard both sda's and dcm and the sda's win hands down but $$ is a factor for some people. Same price? go with the sda's any day!

The top are Monitor 12's. I personally have never heard them, but I hear they have some great bass. Get them both!
