    Says who?

That car is a total loss. The vehicle sitting on top of it is one of 3 it wedged itself under.

As far as how it happened, the story I've seen most is that it was raining and dark. A motorist pulled out of a blind side street mere car lengths ahead of the Lamborghini. The Lamborghini driver tried to take evasive action to avoid the accident but broke traction on the slick roads and slid uncontrollably in to the other, parked cars. You don't have to be going fast at all. 35-40 mph, a car as heavy as that (3500+ pounds) that rides that low and is shaped like a doorstop carries enough energy to pop small, econoboxes right up it's hood like it was a sweet jump.

It actually does *appear* as though both a-pillars are intact. I'd be very surprised if that passenger side a-pillar actually did come out structurally sound after supporting the weight of another car after it slid up on top of it like that.

If this accident happened in Los Angeles, there is little doubt in my mind it would be back on the road. Remember the Enzo that was ripped in half and desintegrated itself in a wreck that happened on PCH... That car was rebuilt, and it was not even a salvage title!

Also, if you read the article you'll see that the Lambo actually got clipped by someone else, which is what sent it flying.

    Not necessarily the cop's fault.
