I have the Magnepan 1.6QR for a 2 ch system and I have a LSi9/C/FX/7 HT system. In my opinion the LSiC center channel isn't going to mate real well with the 1.6's for a seamless front soundstage. I have heard some of the larger Paradigm center channels used with the 1.6's and they blended pretty well. Magnepan does have a center, but I haven't been real impressed with it.

Using the LSi's for the side and rear soundstages wouldn't be too much of an issue in my opinion.

Come on guys...........obviously Bernal's first language isn't English. I'm all for making fun but I really think the guy is trying. His posts are short and bit vague, but give him the benefit.

I agree! Unfortunately some of the troll bot writers use the same translation engines and give everyone who uses them a bad rap.

    Bad idea.

    Read up on Timbre Matching.

+1 to what Face said. It's Very Bad Idea to use Magnepan 1.6 as front speakers with LSi Speakers as surround speakers.

If you want to use Magnepan 1.6 for your Front LEFT and Front Right, you need to at least use the center speaker which will timbre match with them. You should consider this for center channel.

Not being too much of a Maggie fan,I would say some things to consider is the narrower sounstage, if he has the room to set them up properly, if he plans on useing the sub with them, or if he plans on doing a seperate 2 channel system. I think for the money he could do better if he's looking for a double duty speaker for the fronts.

I wasn't mocking his language skills. Just teasing him a bit for his replies in other threads, when someone asks about any other brand than Sunfire, or LSi's. Look them up, and you'll see the pattern.;)

Hope you didn't take it the wrong way Bernal, I apologize if you did.:)
