That sucks. He was quite helpful when I was building my bass traps.

Here's his thread that I bookmarked on the 563....
    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55733&highlight=modding+pioneer+cd%2Fsacd+player

Still some good info there, but the 563 is not exactly the 'hot ticket' for mods anymore.

Agreed, a great lost for CP overall as it is people like this that makes this site thicking. The man never gave magic answers, the answers are always logical and common sense. As you say great knowledge base!

    Cheers!

It is a sad day to hear Fred has left CP! He is one fine member in CP and I hate losing him. Anyone knew if Fred is doing fine or what had made him decide to leave? I hope he chooses to leave over his personal reasons and not coz some of us who constantly pisses him off.

Fred possess a great deal of knowledge and always helps out who is in need. I hope he will end up back in CP one day. Here is one for you, my friend!

Good luck and keep doing whatever you enjoy doing! :)

He complained to me several times about the bickering that can go on here as well as the seeming lack of intelligence exhibited by some members also. He was never one to suffer fools and just did so quietly unlike others here. But he moved on.

Personally, it's sad that he left but he deemed us not worthy of his company. Not the other way around. If he wants to turn his back on this place, that's on him. No sympathy, no whining, no crying about it, just movin' on, like doro said.

Keep on truckin' and remember, shiny side up!

I never noticed much bickering where he was involved ... but I mostly avoid it when I can, so maybe it was happening nonetheless. Lack of intelligence? Well, I'll certainly admit to that one, but I do my best to pretend to know things, even if I don't.

Who knew that the Emotiva threads, heated political threads suggesting the country is doomed, the longevity of the LoCannesAndMonteCarlo reviews, and a host of blanket statements that some people read about somewhere to regurgitate repeatedly as "advice" could drive an honorable member to turn his back on the community?

Oh well ... shiny side up it is, I suppose ...

He gave me some good tips on digital audio, and I purchased my Bryston DAC based on one of his tips. He knew his digital. Thanks GV#27. However, I suspect he will be back when he starts to suffer withdrawal symptoms.

I bet to differ! He is one of the good guys here in CP, Mark!

Regardless of whatever the differing opinions are or whatever reasons he has, he helps out a lot of folks here. So, he must have cared at one time. :)

But yeah, +1 to keep on truckin' and keep the shiny side up.

Guys, he's not dead, he just walked away and for whatever reason, it's all his. I have an idea of why he chose to leave but in reality, his reasons are his and his alone and his choice was to turn his back, walk away and keep his reasons to himself. He already moved on, so should you.

Well Fred was one of the top ten in my favorite lists. I hope he comes back. I have a feeling that he doesn't like the American kick each other in the **** attitude. Americans tend to shrug **** off and are friends the same day.
    Miss you Fred.

No ****... I guess now I FINALLY know what it's like when doves cry.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore
