[Rant][/B]

So I inquired about their system to see what was up. If you don't know, they are a drop ship company that has been around for like 60 years. All I wanted to know is if they would have anything worth while to sell. So one of their reps call me and gives me the back ground , the way the biz. works. So he tells me about the Silver membership and it is cost blah blah blah. I tell the guy I have no money. He proceeds well their is our gold member ship and the cost is less, and it offers more than the silver member ship. I then tell they guy I have no money I am behind on rent, and just can not afford it. He says well how about this, I'll pay for the the membership fee, how does that sound. I tell him that would work for me. He then says okay, would you like to use Visa, Master Card or Discover. I hung up the phone. They have been around for 60+ years, by know you think they would let the people try the system for 6 mos. free of charge even 3, and if it is as good as they say, they have nothing to lose, and could even do more business because people in my situation would be able to make money right up front, and would be able to pay for the "system"

I just don't get it. What part of have no money do people not understand. No it does not mean,I'm broke but have a credit card. It does not mean I am not working but have $5000 in the bank. It means I live biweekly as the unenjoyment comes in. It means I am trying to find a job, but know one wants to hire some one who has been fired from his last three jobs(2 of which were from the same ficked employer and the other ws because I could not work due to injury resulting from the job).

Hey I'm grasping at straws here, and just trying to see what it was actually all about. I would love to start something up were I could work from home and be here for my wife and kids instead of working a job that would only let me spend an hour of so with my boys each day. I'm tired of struggling and making some one else money while I make chump change. I am versatile, and learn quickly. If I had the funds I'd start making speakers and selling them. I could play around doing it all day long. I'd even be happy working for some one else doing this as long as the pay was good, crap give me a soldering iron, a pc board and schematics and I'll build amps for you. But you probably won't hire me because I don't have a piece of paper that says I can put that 22k ohm resister were r130 goes. I don't know, guess I'm just kind of in rant mode

I appreciate your sentiment but at the same time, don't take the bashing of SMC so personal. There are tons of companies like that out there and most people I know who got involved in that bogus fund raising stuff ended up with crates full of stuff they couldn't sell 'cause nobody wanted it. Your better off opening your own dollar store somewhere.

If you want to work from home, there are lots of actual jobs that are lucrative. You just gotta look. Everything from computer support to simple proof-reading jobs are out there. Hell, even Google offers a way to make some extra cash that seems to good to be true but really isn't.

Stay away from SMC, they are crooks. People don't open the door for door to door sales guys anymore. They go to the Internet to get stuff they bought brought to their door.

SMC is on the internet now. They Set you up with what they call a $300 dollar web site. You have no product on hand, and they drop ship it for you. I know their are tons of Businesses out there like this. I have looked all over for work at home jobs on the interwebs but every one I have seen wants money to start. I've looked into the google ones that I get an e-mail for here and there, and they wanted money to start also.

If there was so much money in selling their products, why don't they sell them instead of the overpriced memberships? Go figure. Be careful on any endeavor, there are a lot of people looking for work and the scamsters know it.
