Redo how? Any graphics editor will probably do, and there's freebies like Gimp and Google's Picasa. what you need?

GIMP if you are looking for free photoshop.
GIF's are bitmap images that are comprised of pixels; depending on how extensive your changes are and how picky you are, you may have to edit pixel-by-pixel. GIMP can help you with that.

Can you post it so I can see?
I'm not sure I can help, but it would be great to know what we're talking about.

Ok here's the gif, need to remove all those letters and but DVRBLACKBOX, Inc. on it. It can be wider for the company name, not taller.

So you are saying you want the green 'glass' look with your companies name on it?

You best bet is to start from scratch.

Or, if you can wait, I can send you something tomorrow... Or maybe another Polkie can help you sooner. I just have to put my kid in bed and spend some time with my wife... I'll be too tired to work on it tonight.

    Let me know.

edit: Or Demi... I think we both have made a living working with graphics, if I'm not mistaken...

    Start over oh NO.................

See this site, the logo is done. Been done not doing over.... The forum can be just the name I don't think the logo will work at all. The gif if you download the picture the size is correct. I just wish a name to bring you back to the main page from the forum.

You misunderstand; I meant just the button... Trying to erase out all the letters, what with their white 'glow' on a 'glossy' green glass background will be... difficult.

It would be easier to just rebuild a green glass background and put new letters on it.

I'm not saying rebrand your self; I'm saying rebuild that button.

Well, if you still need it done or need a quick graphic created, let me know- I'm on medical leave from my work place at a design firm until next week, and while I have a few projects of my own, a quick one for a polkie ain't gonna hurt me.

Yes, with things like that it's best to start over.

    Here:

    greenicon-a.gif

I realize that's too big, so let me know what size you want it.

Here's a smaller one. It's not the same dimensions as the original logo you posted, but it's the same width and the height is proportional to it.

Thanks Demi, I have to give this some thought. What do you think about the forum now? Without the glass-green thing.

It's better without it. Although, if you did want to use something like that I wouldn't have it be green. It would be some hue of blue or all black/white to match the current color scheme.

I think the logo on the main page and forum is better then not to have them the same. I did the glass-green thing as someone liked it, but I also had issue's with a link back to the main page if you clicked on the logo. I couldn't for do with with the glass-green.
