Selling My Stuff

Well, I've put this off as long as I could, but I have a bunch of stuff coming due and am starting to get in over my head financially so some extravagances have to go. Just have to remind myself that when things are financially stable gear can always be re-bought :)

I'll be putting up separate threads for the big stuff I'm selling throughout the week, in particular :

- My Emotiva LPA-1
- Outlaw 950
- A CSI30
- An HTPC (or parts thereof if necessary)

I'd unload the RTi70's as well but only locally and I just don't feel like I'd ever get enough for them to make it worth it considering what I got them for.

Threads for all this stuff coming up as soon as I can get pictures and information and prices together.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Why not put it up for sale in the for sale section?

That's where it's going, this thread was just a heads up / thread for people to commiserate with me.

Mostly the latter cuz I'm bummed that it's come to this.

Sorry to hear this, but like anything else you can always buy this stuff over again when you get back on your feet. Good luck with everything.

Hey, there's nothing that can't be replaced. Just think, when you go shopping next time how cool it will be again :)

I feel for you Bob. I came close to having sell my gear this past year due to financial and health issues but things came full circle.

I wish you a lot of luck and what Mark wrote above is right on.

Sorry to hear, **** happens and it hurts. A few years ago I sold everything that I could get my hands on to make it through a bad time. Things turned around rather quickly, and yes, gear was re-bought. Best wishes for the same to happen for you. Maybe you could sell some more useless items before your gear?

Dude, that really does suck. This economy is reeling in a whole bunch of folks that would otherwise be doing fine. Look at it this way......when you do get your feet back on the ground, you have a legion on Polkies here to help you reassemble [possibly] an even better system. The world is wide open when you start from scratch. ;)

I'm sorry things aren't going so well for you. Keep your chin up bro'. Good things come to those who wait.

It's just stuff, brother. Replaceable stuff.....long as you are on this side of the rose garden, the rest is gravy.

Really, life is pretty good aside from the finances; I have my health and family and friends, so if losing a few material things is the worst that happens I'd say I"m doing pretty well :)

Thanks for all the support everyone.

It good to have stuff to sell in the first place, if you think about it . . and it seems you have. Good luck with the sale, and turning the corner.

Sorry to hear that bob, hang in there. I was dumped by my ex many months ago, and have been under water ever since. Well luck finally struck, and if everything goes ok, I should get back about 10K from a company stock buyback tomorrow. So now I'll no longer be dodging calls about debt I can't pay, and constantly killing myself over it.

No matter what route is necessary, getting back on your feet is top priority. Everything else should fall back into place after that (at least for me, thank god....)
I still even owe Keiko some good karma, but now that I'm in the black financially, I can send that on, and give a man a little extra for waiting while I flounder :)

Bottom line I've learned from my own experience, take care of the basics 1st (meaning yourself financially, mentally and physically), and no matter how outlandish it may seem now, the ship will right to sail another day.

That sucks Bob, but like you said new gear is always right around the corner. Got to take care of the basics first. I wish you luck man :)

Yeah, I graduated right when this #^#$storm started. I havn't had a full time job for more than 3 months yet. Granted, I left some intentionally, but the good ones just didn't have the budget to keep non-senior personal.
