That does seem like a pretty awesome deal, how much is shipping though? I'm sure its pretty expensive on speakers that large

About $28 each to me in Philadelphia. You can put in your zip code to get an estimate.

If you buy a pair, pay individually. I found this out back when I bought my R50's from Frys. They charge $28 each shipping if you buy one, but $71 to ship a pair. Hmm, Frys.com math: 28 + 28 = 71. Amazing

HAHA, I would consider this but it really is a lateral move in terms of sound quality for me. Someday I'll maybe have the rti a7's or a9's. But for that I'd likely need external amplification.

Would it be much of a move to go from the RTi A3's to the A5's? I'm quite happy with my A3's, not sure what/if the improvements would be. I've been using this for mostly movies lately. Would it be better to wait for the A7 or A9?

The A5s are very nice, it would be a Upgrade from the A3s.

well, frys is notorious for charging more for shipping 2 speakers together than each individually. the reason why shipping each speaker individually is cheaper that the 2nd speaker added would push the package over to the next weight&size bucket, which is significantly higher than shipping 2 speakers separately.

I recently upgraded from the 3's to the 5's and would say there is a very noticeable difference. I would say that going to the 7's or 9's would be a bigger jump but the 5's are great for me and fit my pocket book nicely.

True, but I'd rather have them in cherry. I can get a pair from Polk on ebay for $315 shipped in cherry, so I'll probably just go that route.
