Just bought a Anthem Pre 1

Not exactly what I wanted in a tube pre with no remote but for the price it will give me a taste for a tube pre. I already have the Anthem Amp 1.

Seller is the original owner and says it was rarely used and has been in storage the last couple of years.

I have read others have modded the Pre 1 so if any one here knows or has done the mods I would be interested to know what mods I can do.

It has the stock tubes so I am also interested in opinions on replacements, it uses 4 6922 tubes.

    Thanks Treitz3. I stand corrected, it is a Pre 1L. No phono stage which is fine, neither does my Adcom GFP-750.

    ANy thoughts on good 6DJ8, 6922 or ECC88 or or E188CC/7308s tubes to try ?
