Polk MMC650 enclosures
What would be the best enclosure for the Polk Momo 6.5" coax #mmc650. I am trying to make the best tower speaker I can for home audio use from these speakers. Any help would be great.

I don't think that would be a very good idea. Keep the car speakers in the car, and the home speakers in the home:) Those are made for a VERY different environment, and would likely sound horrible for home use. I'm not trying to kill your fun, but we all have to start the learning some where. I remember not so long ago thinking I was going to build my own tower speakers using home and auto speakers, lol. TRUST ME, There is soooo much more to it that putting some speakers in a box and calling it a day.
Why exactly are you trying to use those particular speakers anyway? You would be much better off doing some DIY kit speakers for your first project if you just want to build some speakers. Someone else has already worked out the hard stuff for you, but you still get to build your own speakers. There are countless DIY designs out there to be had. If you are just trying to have home speakers on the cheap, then buy used. You'll thank yourself later..
I'm sure someone far more knowledgeable than I can give a better explanation on this, but we will need more info on the why part before we can help much more:)Sony 40" LCD

Thanks for the responce.
I have these laying around without a car use for them. They are way too nice to just sit there. I have looked at speakers from parts express and checked out DIY designs but I can't bring myself to buy different speakers when I know these perform well. I actually had pretty decent results with these mounted in 3/4" mdf sealed boxes 8"x9.5"x41". I was just hoping someone smarter than me (polk tech) could tell me what kind of enclosure will work well for a free air speaker like this. I want to try a ported design. I know this is not ideal, but I need to try before deciding it won't work. -
I admire your determination. I'm surprised no one else has chimed in on this? If you are dead set on putting these in an enclosure, sealed will be you safest bet, if you can't get you hands on the driver parameters to build the proper vented enclosure. Good luck on your journey:)Sony 40" LCD

Thank You
That's just it, these speakers have no specs from which to build a enclosure from. -
call polk cs and see what they can do for you.
