Got a lead on a pair of these...any recommendations? These don't have the interconnect do they? I'm back in a buying mood....I know giving is better, but getting ain't bad either.

Nice speaker but doesn't use a innerconnect cable like the SDA's.

You will love them. Not a SDA speaker as mentioned. They are a little weird looking but the sound is very good.

They are a nice speaker and are labled for left and right. I use a set as my L&R surrounds.

    It's Polk's version of R2D2.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

If the speakers are in good shape and are available for a good price, I would jump all over these. I own a set of these and some SDA-1Cs. IMHO, the SDAs are not vastly superior to the RTA-12Bs and in fact I catually like the 12Bs better for some types of music (vocals, accoustic guitar and instruments, classical).

Neil I have two sets of the RTA's since 81 bought new and run them with two Carver 1.5's SHEESH! I would be hard pressed to get rid of them! For overall performance they are just outstanding to me ear! It sounds great with the size room I have! BUT>........ Each and every person has a different ear for sound! I find that Polk found a winner with these for EVEN and consistance performance! After all these years I just got last year I added psw1000 dual 10 sub and I don't think I'll buy another system until I move to heaven or Hell lmfao! I'll move up to SDA SRS's OH about a dozen of them and wake either the devil or get the angels awake! lmfao! Just smile Neil and buy them I'm sure you will keep them no matter what your final system ends up! TC!
