painting vm20s and vm10s

I got a great deal on some silver VM20s and VM10s to finish off my system. My VM30s are black and I'd like to paint the others with a nice black finish to match. Has anybody else had any success with this exercise? If so, let me know if you have any tips. The VMs have aluminum cabinets instead of wood or mdf so this will be a first for me...thanks!
