Wondering about the refurb gear on Polk's ebay store. When they say refurb, wonder if those are warranty returns? Or are they simply factory blemished products? Or are they noticeably damaged? And I wonder if performance wise, they perform exactly to spec? Appreciate any feedback from those that have bought from them.

Like other members my refurb TSi200s look spanking new. I would never guess that they are refurb speakers. Amazing quality. Definitely worth the purchase.

I bought my RTia9s and two DSWPro Subs on Polk Direct. All arrived pretty much pristince, although I had a driver issue with the Rtia9, but that was fixed pretty much instantly by Polk. One of the subs even had the protective plastic over the driver still, which means it was pretty much never played or unwrapped. IMO PolkDirect is the only way to buy polk gear.

Got my Atrium 45's and CS2 from Polk Direct Ebay Store. Both looked absolutely perfect and perform that way too. I'd have no way of knowing they were refurbished if it wasn't spelled out on the invoice.

My LSi7s anc C came from the ebay store. They looked, new, were packaged as new. The only clue they weren't new was that they were broken in; they sounded good immediately.

I'm the exception to the rule, one of the two Monitor 60s I got has a pretty sizable chunk missing from the silver edge on the front. It still sounds amazing, and for the price I can easily live with it. That's the only problem I've had with 6 speakers ordered through them.

I got a csia6 from them and whoever they use for shipping sucks and damaged the box. It had huge holes punched in it. luckily all that was messed up was the plastic power port on the back. I will not order from them again just because of this. They except no returns so if my speaker was damaged I would been S*#t out of luck

How is that Polk Direct's fault?
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

That would be the shippers fault ( Fed Ex or UPS) not polk direct. I've bought a ton of items from them and everything arrived in perfect shape.

Its not their fault and they have awesome deals. But they should find a better shipper. I think it was UPS which sucks and always does damage to stuff. They should use fed ex. The only bad thing on their part is no returns. SO my question is. What if a speaker has a bad driver in it. And it was not from shipping damage. Now what. You just got stuck with a speaker you cant return.

Mine was shipped via Fed Ex. If Polk ships you a speaker and the damage is caused by Polk then rest assure they'll take care of you. Best customer service I've had to deal with.

It still carries a warranty against DOA. The no return policy means you may have to handle it thru the proper warranty channels, not with Polk Direct. Although, I'd wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't handle that thru Polk Direct via eBay or by calling Polk CS with proof of purchase.

FedEx is the choice carrier but they will utilize whatever works best for the given area.....almost always FedEx.

I had an issue with FedEx and Polk. The grille broke during shipping but Polk sent a new one asap. I got my A6 and A3's from them. Unless they are broken-in you can't tell they are refurb's.
