It draaaaaaaaags... zzz... Slower than the first movie, Twilight. I did enjoy about 3 minutes of it but I may be in luck. With the way the storyline is unfolding, I actually might enjoy the next movie in the series. If you enjoyed the first movie you'll like this one.

I actually showed up at the 6:15PM showing on Black Friday. Luckily, everybody was out shopping so it wasn't crowded but the next showing was.

I'll see it, like I did the first, on Blu-ray. No way is this worth a $10 trip to the theater for.
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

I got dragged by a damned evil woman on opening weekend. First time I've had to buy tickets 4 shows later than when we showed up. As we stood in line, I looked at her and said, "Oh, you're SO going to see Avatar with me opening day."

It wasn't an awful movie though. Definitely better than the first one.

Went to see this with my daughter, who has read all the books and we also saw the first one. I didn't think this was as good as the previous movie. It just seemed rushed into the theaters. The cinimatogrophy/filming wasn't as good, the soundtrack wasn't as well done, and some of the special effects were not that well done. My daughter didn't think the acting was as good either. And I agree with the comments on it dragging on and on, it could easily have 20 to 30 min cut out and still be a good movie.

This alone will keep me from seeing it at the theater.

I'm sorry, but this is one of the funniest posts in a long time. Perfect.

As for Tweenlight... is this even an option to check out unless you're either a thirteen year old girl or a middle-aged woman clinging desperately to the last three eggs in her ovaries?
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

My 16yr old daughter has seen it 4 times now, but I supose she IS the target audience.

I'm sure I'll be forced to see it on dvd, just like I saw whatever the first one was called.

Seriously, I was just going to say that I didn't know we had so many 13-year old girls on the forum. Going with your daughter or going at your girlfriend / wife's insistence is one thing, but on its own? These movies are pure garbage.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I've read the first book and I'm halfway through the second. I'm sure i'll see the movie once its out on blu ray. In any event, after reading the books I see how people would be excited about the movies, as an avid page turner I enjoyed the books (not A LOT, but I did enjoy them) although I have to agree with the comments on the acting
