I'm trying to get everything setup for Mom over break, and I'm totally lost with all these connections.

What we're dealing with:
Sony Bravia LCD HDTV with 3 HDMI, two component, and one side composite for inputs.
digital cable box with HDMI, S-Video, and two component for outputs.
Panasonic VHS/DVD combo unit with HDMI, S-Video, component, and composite for outputs, and S-Video, composite for inputs.

How am I supposed to get all this stuff talking to one another?

The cable folks had the coax from the wall running through the VHS/DVD unit, to the cable box (all via coax), then to the tv via HDMI.

I would LOVE any input if you know how all this should be connected, utilizing HDMI as much as possible, I guess, to maximize picture quality, and so we can record tv on VHS or DVD.

I'm heading out back to school in the morning, so I wanna wrap this up tonight.

Thank you!

Simple question. If you had a cool million bucks, what would you do with it?
