FXIA4 or RTIA1?
Hello,
I currently own a pair of RTi6 speakers as fronts and I'm thinking about expanding into a 5.1 setup. It will be located in a bedroom that measures roughly 12' x 11'.
I will be placing the surrounds on night stands, which are located on both sides of the bed, against the wall. I don't really want to mount the surrounds on the wall behind the bed; however, I will give it some thought if it will create the best surround effects.
My main concern is that my surround speaker placements are to close to the wall for the FXIA4 surrounds to work properly (sound reflection, accuracy, etc.). In this type of situation, will the RTIA1 speakers perform better than the FXIA4 as surrounds?
The surround speakers will be strictly for movie/gaming use only.
Attached is a layout of the room that was quickly prepared in Paint. The areas highlighted red are the night stands where the speakers will be placed.
I'll greatly appreciate any advice that is given. Thank you.

in my opinion i would go for the fxi's.
Considering that it is a bedroom setup i would let my budget make the decision. Unless you plan on moving this into the living area at a later time. Check out polk direct for a goo deal on which ever you choose.Front - RTiA5's
Rear - RTiA3's
Center - CSiA4
Sub - PSW110 -
The fxi A4's are more flexible.
