so I just bought my Micro pro 1000 from newegg.

after setting it up pair it with my Onkyo SR607 reciever through LFE. I pop in transformer 3 bluray disk to test the sound...

im not sure if any of you remember this but before the movie starts theres a part where it shows the Dream works tittle with a little kid sits on the cloud throwing the flish pole in the water and makes the heavy super low base sound. well the problem begins here..

when that long and heavy low base comes up my Polk sub will shakes really really hard and sounds like it couldnt catch up with the beat. i can see the subwoofer constantly shaking and moving on the floor..

i'm not a expert at this but this quiet annoys me... is my subwoofer defective? or is the setting? I will try to record the sound tonight if possible and post it.

Is it acutally producing a noise or is the sub moving across the floor? I do the same test and had the same sub but didn't notice any strange sounds. Do you have this on carpet? is the radiator on the bottom touching the carpet? if you do have carpet try adjusting the feet to a higher setting. Also subs if turned up loud will bounce around and dance, it does happen. How loud do you currently have it set? If you have some spikes you can try to use those to see if they keep it from dancing.

What do you have it crossed at? Try running it at 80hz to see if that helps any.

my sub is on the wooden floor not on carpet. and yes it dose jumps around and producing this heavy beat noice sounds like something some one using a drum stick hitting the drum really really fast.
i'm not sure what i set it to but i think the low pass is point to the middle forgot if is 100 or 150hz..

I tried lower the sub volume but still the same.

i will do most test at home tonight and post if anything change.

as for reciever volume i normally set to 60 which is normal for old HT setup and it never produce any sound like this..

It's going to move around....the cabinet isn't heavy enough to keep it grounded. I'd look into a nice piece of granite or temporary cement block to tame it for now. If you keep it from moving, it should help with everything else.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

You can try but getting something to hold it down is normally the better route.
Walking subs was also in the post

they have some other suggestions too of what you could try to do to make sure it doesn't walk around.

i just put a piece of small carpet under the sub, which makes it stop moving now.

but it still makings that rumbling noise. i used my microphone and record the sound you guys can listen to it and tell me if thats normal or not..

right now my setting on reciever for sub is 80hz crossover, -2DB and 10 feet away from listening. on the subwoofer it self i set the phase at 0 ( which is default at 20 volume on the Polk micropro 1000. and lower pass is at 120hz ( according to manual guide said if i have small speaker it should set to 120...

if i lower the volume on subwoofer or the reciever to low i dont hear those sound when theres low or deep base. but if i tune it up to theather like volume you can hear the sound right away and loud too.. I know some might say leave it at low volume. but if thats the case whats the point of surround sound...
heres the link for the wave file.
