I need to know who has a working outdoor setup for a possible free demo.

Would you be willing to do a temporary mount and setup if you did have the chance?
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Just brought mine in for the winter. Run 2 different zones(front deck and horse shoe/party area). I've auditioned several makes...what do you have in mind?

How far away is PA from 6 feet under?
Yep, my name really is Bob.

Come up in the warmer weather and we'll toss a few shoes while listening to tunes.
I run 2 seperate pairs of Niles OS-20's. They had the best bass extension to my ears and high end is decent. I'm impressed with how they handle the outdoor elemnets too.

I have a pair of Atrium 55's. They've been taking sun, snow and ice for the last 4 years or so. Sound as good as the first day. Love them.

Temporary set up might be a probelm unless I can use the same holes where the Atrium's are screwed to the wood...but if you need more volunteers I can put some more neurons into it.

I have a setup outdoors for a friend at her deli. The deli is down the Jersey Shore in a saltwater environment. It's a very abusive environment from wind and rain to salt spray during wicked storms, especially Nor'Easters. If this is going to be in the winter, it's a very, very harsh climate for outdoor stuff.

I would volunteer and swap out the speakers she already has and demo them but if this stuff don't hold up, I don't want to destroy stuff on you. I wouldn't necessarily call it a critical listening demo in her case as much as a "how much abuse can these things take" demo.

So should I hold off buying a pair of current models, I was going to order some as a present to myself and install them on my patio. Is there anyway I can get a pair to demo?

Mark I have 4 pairs of different speakers of different sizes mounted all around my house. None of them are Polks. Music all the way around house.

I have a job and the client just asked me to put some outdoor speakers for him on the back patio.

I have four Rockustics outdoor speakers. Using a Parasound amp to drive these puppies with a Marantz SR9600 receiver for preamp. I've even run my ITunes music from my Mac Mini (AIFF files of course) outside through my Cambridge Dacmagic. Yeah, it's fun!

    Japan? Hmmm, no.

You should at least wait until you can see the new lineup. They sound better and they've went all out as far as choices go.

Where were you near the end of November?

You'll have to wait until someone gets done and I'll get a pair over to you when I get them back.
