Just found out late last night that my brother's wife has breast cancer. She's only 30 years old and has a 2 year old daughter. Any prayers and good wishes would be greatly appreciated.

I may be absent from the forum for the next few days while I help out my brother. Everyone have an excellent Thanksgiving.

Regards,

Mike

    Ben
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Prayers sent and while it certainly is cause for worry, breast cancer is not necessarily a death sentence anymore. Here's hoping they caught it soon enough.

I actually went through this with my sister in 2006. But it wasn't breast cancer but rather cervical cancer. She had to have a hysterectomy but she's been given a clean bill of health with every checkup since. So there is hope.

Hang in there, SS. The chances for full recovery from breast cancer these days are really excellent in most cases, so there's no need for the family to panic just yet. Just get the right treatment, (especially if they have good insurance) and they should be back to a completely normal, happy life by next year's holiday season.

Prayers sent, just saw this firsthand with my best friends younger sister...I was amazed her insurance paid for breast implants during the cancer removal surgery.

No fancy insurance either, just a run of the mill HMO, apparently its cheaper to insert 2 pakages of saline during the surgery ...then to deal with the cost of mental issues down the line. Sure she went completely bald during the chemo afterwards , but was always smiling...saying she still had the girls...it was pretty damn cool. ( Just last year actually )

I hope the best for your sis in law.

Mike, my very best to your sister in-law, brother, and the family. Hope this was caught early enough for her, and an encouraging prognosis. Try to enjoy your Thanksgiving, and take comfort in a traditionally great family holiday, no matter what. They will always be there and offering all the support in the world. Prayers sent bro, take care.
