A little ipod help

OK, a friend of my son gave me an ipod nano. I was wondering how to erase his name and songs. Like making the ipod factory default. Tried to download the manual but am unable to do so. Any help would be great. Thanks

If you plug it into a computer running iTunes, iTunes should have an option to restore to factory settings.
