Crossovers Causing HISS in my MM5251 Components

I've been having an issue with a hissing sound in my new MM5251's since the install. I have been chasing the issue, checking and re-checking until I found that the hiss is being caused by the crossovers? I bypassed the crossovers, and the hiss went away. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? I'm planning on going active soon, but I would like to know why this is happening. Any help would be great!
