Monitor 7 Tweeting

Aloha Polkies,

Newbie here! Can you long time Polk monitor 7 owners give me your opinion on the Monitor 7 series 2 (I think they are SL2500?) versus the Monitor 7's with Peerless tweets? I am hoping to purchase a pair in the near future and any recommendation is greatly appreciated. :)

    I have owned a pair of 7B's with the peerless since they were new. I have listened to some with the SL2500 and found them to be slightly brighter, though the time spent with them was minimal in comparison. Welcome to Club Polk.

    I have a pair of 7's with the peerless,, love em,, I upgraded the caps and resistor and use them in a 2ch low watt tube driven system,,very little,if any listening fatigue.Good luck,,keep us posted about yours.

    Thanks for the warm welcome! Hearingimpaired, I did a double take on your 2 channel rig and almost thought it was parts for a tricked out race car. Hahaha :) I guess I cannot go wrong with either the Peerless or the SL2500. I know the SL2500 sounds great but I haven't heard a Peerless version yet. I just don't want to regret it later ....since shipping is crazy to the islands.
