I think I've narrowed it to these two which seem to be basically the same except for the size and the frame.

I have a dedicated room that is pitch dark with all the lights out. I think a grey screen is what I need, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong or feel free to offer alternative choices in the same price range, ie <$400.

I currently have a homemade screen made from blackout cloth. It has served me well, but it's time to see what improvement I get out of a "real" screen. Since the homemade version was only $35, the improvement needs to be pretty substantial...especially since my wife thinks it's ridiculous to make this purchase.

I guess I could add that the alternative is keeping my current screen and picking up a new turntable. I have my eye on a Rega P1 unless I can find a better deal used.

For several hundred dollars above your budget, you might want to look at Carada: http://carada.com/

At rock bottom price, perhaps Monoprice.com?: http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=109&cp_id=10829

With your pj you don't need a grey screen. Blacks are pretty good with these newer PJs so a Matte white screen will do you just fine. Focupix screens are ok but I think you can get better quality for your money by going with an Elite screen. Here is 106" from Amazon in your price range. I personally own a Carada screen and will definitely tell you it is also very good but you will pay a tad bit more. Grimster74 has the Elite screen and again it is very good so whatever fits the budget should work. Definitely go Elite over Focupix though. I normally recommend the Focupix when on a tight budget. See Grim's and I showcase for pics of both.

Yeah, definitely get the Elite if you can. I'm using a 100" manual pulldown from them, and it was a significant improvement over my 92" Da-Lite (which oddly created a moire pattern when I switched to a 1080p projector, so stay away from Da-Lite).
    Equipment list:
    Onkyo TX-NR3010 9.2 AVR
    Emotiva XPA-3 amp
Polk RTi70 mains, CSi40 center, RTi38 surrounds, RTi28 rears and heights
SVS 20-39CS+ subwoofer powered by Crown XLS1500
    Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player
    DarbeeVision DVP5000 video processor
    Epson 8500UB 1080p projector
Elite Screens Sable 120" CineWhite screen

I ordered the Elite from Amazon for less than the Focupix...which seems very good since you all agree that it's a better screen. It should be here tomorrow.

Sherardp: If you're ever in the Dallas area you should hit me up for a drink or two. The video portion of my HT is pretty much based on your recommendations;)

    Thanks for the help.

Sounds good, and I'm sure you will be happy. Pics when you can would be awesome.
