I haven't had much luck finding any new artists to listen to lately, so I knew you guys would be able to help. I'm basically looking for anything new to me, and not in any specific genre. Here's a list of some of favorites I've been listening to lately in no specific order or genre. That should give you guys an idea of what I like:) Sorry, I know the list is all over the place:o
Melody Gardot
Esperanza Spalding
Nora Jones(The Fall only)
The Wailin' Jennys
Metric
theSTART
Bitter:Sweet
The Birthday Massacre
Jesca Hoop
Black Label Society
White Zombie
Peaches
Mellowdrone
Kudu
Alice in Chains
Soho Dolls
Garbage
Ladyhawke
I'm gonna stop now...I know that covers a broad spectrum. Also, I don't generally like country, but there are exceptions. Like I said nothing specific. Any suggestions would be appreciated:D

Ha! I have a lot of the stuff you guys named, but there is a couple there I'm not familiar with, so I'll check them out. I forgot to add the fact that if it is played on the radio often, I probably won't like it:D I'm also looking for something with female vocals more often than not. Are any of you familiar with The Birthday Massacre, theSTART, or The Soho Dolls? I've really been into that type of stuff a lot lately. Thanks so far guys!Sony 40" LCD

Donny, you're looking for suggestions for new music and say that the ones you mention cover a "broad spectrum", but there's a huge gap in that you don't list any classical items. There's a whole world of great music waiting out there for you to give a listen.
For a starter collection of colorful music that most enjoy and I often suggest, consider the following: The Planets ; Carmina Burana ; Hungarian Dances ; Dvorak Cello Concerto ; Respighi Symphonic Poems . On sale at bargain prices, totals about $28 with free shipping. -
Stars
Hawksley Workman
Shinedown
Imogen Heap
Arcade Fire
Apocalyptica
Screeming Trees -
30 Seconds to Mars, Box Car Racer, Nonpoint, Santigold, Muse, Little Boots, Inward Eye, Jupiter One, Crash Kings, Silversun Pickups....CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I guess I'm looking for something a little off the beaten path, like I said, if it's been on the radio I probably won't like it:) Thanks again folks!
Donny
then try Sade
