It's a mid 80's Pioneer phenolic cone tweeter, and common CTS / Phillips midrange, can't identify the woofer, may not be original. Could be an RTR, regardless nothing to write home to mom about.

Man I don't know what that is...it looks like its had its drivers 'switched' out...those bass drivers could be JBLs...the rest who knows......it's hard to tell from the pic if that tweeter is a DOME or a CONE? Can you tell?

Lots of speaker designers made cabinets that looked like that years ago....Advent, KLH, etc.

Got me...anyone else have any ideas?

Yeah, the woofer does look like a JBL, but that's no Lansing speaker.

The cabinets kind of reminded me of Mirage speakers. Yes those do look like the penolic ring tweeters pio. used to use. I was thinking the woofer were JVC, but are missing the gray trim ring, and with out the ring they were just unpainted metal.

Yeah, f it. If they work, offer him a 20 spot and have some fun with them in the garage. The logo on the bottom looks like an RTR logo.

You are spot on Russ. I've owned RTRs in the early 80"s.

RTR's with replaced woofers? They probably sound good ,no?

I have Hartley speakers that look just like them but shorter. Very expensive speakers for Jazz music.

The tag seems to short to say Hartley though.:(
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

are they even worth it. No garage to speak of here at the trailer in the woods. If they had grills I'd let my in-laws know so they could replace the awful blose speakers with the star drivers, that they replaced their Acusta flex speakers with.
