Adcom 535 and A and B speaker switch

I just picked up an Adcom 535 (this is the first external amp I have ever used) and it made a huge difference in how my speakers sound.

I have a question about the A and B speaker switch. I currently have my RTI A5s hooked up to the A terminals and I am not suing the B speaker terminals. Can I or should I connect both the A and B speaker terminals to my speakers and have both A and B speakers enable on the amp.

Should I do this, would it benefit if I did or could it potentially damage the speakers or the AMP.

I guess I am wondering if I would be doubling the power output to my speakers using both the A and B terminals rather than just the A.

I dont think it will work. When you switch to A,--B is disabled.B is disabled when you switch to A.At least thats what happened to an amp I use to have like that. Now a QUAD amp will do the trick but it would not be a good idea to hook your speakers up like your thinking of doing.....EVER..

Selecting A or B only connects or disconnects that particular pair of speakers. If you select A+B then both pairs of speakers will effectively be wired in parallel so the load seen by the amp will lowered.Depending on the impedance of the particular speakers used the impedance may be too low for the amp to drive comfortably.
