I don't care if it works, I don't care what it is. I just need one. I'm broke so I'm looking to pay nothing -shipping. Tube solid state I don't care as long as it has inputs, speaker outputs, a power switch and a power cord. PM me with info and I'll set it up so you can slap me up side the head.
Later all,

Anyone have a decent amp for $300.00 or less shipped? if so and he wants it im buying. I have been planning on sending him the amp I am currently using which thats about what its worth $$ wise as soon as my main amp was out of the shop but unfortunately it is still there a year later
REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -
I have a nice Yamaha MX630 amp. It has 135W into 8ohms, 160W into 6ohms and 190W into 4ohms. I would sell it for 150.00 plus shipping if you were interested.Polk HT system 1: LSIC, LSI25 mains, LSI F/X rears, Lsi F/X rear centers,
Yamaha RX-V2500 System, Carver A753 3 channel amp.
Polk HT system 2: , SRT system with f/x 1,000's rear speakers on 7.1 system currently using Onkyo TX-RZ820 receiver, powered by Sunfire Grand Theater amp
Polk Speaker collection: SDA SRS 1.2tl x 2, SRT system, SDA SRS 2 P/B, SDA 2A, SDA 1C Studio, SDA CRS+, Monitor 7B & 4, SRS 3.1tl, RTA 15tl, LS90, LSI 9 -
Can you let us know what the rest of the rig is? That might help.:)JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

Monitor 7s cheapy Sony turntable, Kenwood tuner, Yamaha tape deck, B&K pre.
Snow no biggie, but I would really go see that repair guy, and see if it is in his rig, or if he fixed it and returned it to the wrong person. That's a long time too have some thing and not have it fixed. I believe you said it had a problem with an rca connector? That is like less than a half hour fix. If I was up there I would fix it for you for nothing (which I hope is what he charges you for as long as he has had it).
I just started this thread to get some chuckles. If I can't afford and amp after tax time this year, I will most likely re karma the tuner, and the pre. -
Well the offer still stands, if you see something you want just let me know Ted. I go there about once evey month or two to bug him about fixing my stuff, he has 3 of my audio items there two amps and a receiver, one of the amps has been there over 2 years

Snow:
Is one of those your sunfire? That is a pretty crappy deal $500 to fix a broken RCA not to mention shipping.
George:
I forgot to mention it may power sda 2s also -
double post
-
Are you still looking? I am sure there's something in the basement that could have your name on it for the cost of shipping (continental US)... maybe a receiver instead of amplifier; 2-channel(?).
-
yup, only problem is, I'm so broke I can't even um..............what was I saying, oh yeah, pay attention.
-
I might have something for you. let me check my closet.

Those are killer. I really like the Proton. Have had a couple come up locally for dirt cheap and wishing I had the money then. You really don't see high end stuff come up around here too often. Main thing you see here are the independent department store type of HT in a box. You know the type with 5 speakers with 2" drivers and a MASSIVELY HUGE 6.5" sub that digs all the way down to 70hz. about a year ago a guy had a carver set up with I thin a c6 pre 2 tcb?? 1.5s a tuner and CD player for $500, and a pair of B&Ws in another add. I E-mailed him, and he never got back to me. I was going to buy it for the amps, and pass the rest on to polkies for what ever the cost break down ended up being.

I can not let you do that. If you want though you could adopt me and my family, then I won't have to worry about audio equipment, and you would be able to listen to another set of sdas. LOL. Now if you wanted to buy me house I would not refuse. lol. I've been this long with out an amp, my receiver is still getting me by, I just miss the added depth, detail, accuracy and visceral power. I miss having a sound stage that is pinpoint accurate and extends beyond my walls.
-
I understand. It would be cheaper to buy you an amp rather than the adoption option though

Oh come on, last night I told my wife I'd love love to live in Alaska, every thing I have ever seen of the country side is so beautiful. I love Snow I don't care how deep it is, I just hate the cold. Yeah It may get down into the teens during the days here in the winter, but 40 below I just don't know.

Don't sell it like the last time someone gave you gear.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Oh I won't. And it was the same person. Had real bad times then, and was hurting real bad for money then. It's not that bad now. My wife might be getting on disability for her MS and if that's the case even if it does get bad, it won't be as bad as it was. Last summer we live in a tent for 3 months. The owner of the camp ground let us stay there for a month at half the normal rate. After that he moved us out to his canoe launch site, and was going to pay us to stay there, but I told him I would not accept any type of payment as he was already being a big help to us. And we had free electricity. You would have laughed if you saw the inside of our tent. We had a 27" tv, receiver dvd player and some tiny realistic speakers. Nothing tastes as good as food cooked over a camp fire.

Oh I believe the coffee thing. And I know about the frost bite thing. Temps right now are in the low 40's. Not expecting snow until next week. Coldest I've seen is -20 with 30 mph winds with 45 mph gusts.

Come join in the thread, no fighting allowed. OK, I'll take anything, I've already got a pre and a tuna and a tape deck. My DVD/SACD/CD player (does not do DVD-A), and Turntable are mediocre. But I really could use an amp. I think a Belles would be nice, or a Proton, or a Pass labs, or a Manley
-
God that Proton is gorgeous.
I've been thinking about you, though.... i'm trying to sack up and grab a new amp for my 2-channel rig. If i manage to find something i like before you find something, you can have my Oinker.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.
