Denon DCM-370 mods?

I've heard that if you disconnect the wire (unplug it) going to the headphone jack on the DCM-370 HDCD player, you will get better sound. Something to do with added distortion introduced by the op-amp?

Does anyone know if this is true? Have you tried it?
