Polk Audio Monitor 100?
So I got an awesome deal on a pair of Polk Monitor 100's this week on CL. I only paid $750 for the pair. I wasn't able to find them anywhere on Polk's website, but I assume thats just cause they're only made in small quantities.
Anywho, they sounds great and look even better. Maybe I'll write up a review soon.
What do you guys think?

I bet if Polk offered a 100 series like that...perhaps with some design mods because those tweets my interfere with each other, or not? They'd definitely sell....in any case....they look awesome...you can hardly see the seams!

Forget the speakers, who's the chick on the monitor?

Haha, I don't sit that close when I listen thats just where the plug-in is
And yes they do look sweet, even more so in real life
Leroy, thats my girlfriend Adriana. She modeled with Victoria's sSecret, again the picture does not do her justice
I'm not sure why, But I think the imaging is better on these than my 70s downstairs. It really is crazy to listen to these speakers set up like this. I never would have thought I could get sound like this from these speakers. They definitely have better low end output than either speaker alone. I mostly set these up as a joke, but I'm finding myself listening to them a bunch. I think it has to do with the 60s being pretty good stands for the 40s. Plus one speaker being front ported and one being rear ported might help I guess.
In any event, they are just running of an old Sony receiver, so nothing special there.
The receiver has a selector switch for 8ohms and 4ohms, would I be better off If I wired these together or something? Also, could I bi-wire a pair with the surround speaker outputs?
Thanks

Haha, no I didn't pay $750
On a serious note though, I want to set these up just like this as my surround speakers. Would I be able to splice the 2 surround RCA preouts into 4, and then run these off of a 4 channel amp? That way all 4 surround speakers would be getting the same signal (the signal which was meant for 2 speakers)
Or would it be possible to use the surround pre outs to power 2 of them, and then the speaker outs on the receiver (acting as a pre) to provide power to the other 2?
Confusing but LMK if you understand/know the answer
Thanks

If you have 70s as your mains, you don't want MORE speaker than that up front. If you're dead set on doing this, and honestly, i wouldn't, i'd put the 70s in back and the "100s" in front.
And yes, you would "ideally" use two RCA "Y" female to male splitters.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.
