Receiver suggestion for Monitor 10B
I have a pair of Monitor 10B's that I am using as fronts for a 5.0 system. The centre and rear speakers are Missions. What would be a suitable receiver for this configuration. It will be used for blu-ray movies played on a PS3. Display is a Pioneer plasma. Thanks

What's the budget....buying a receiver is kinda like buying a car: do you want leather bucket seats, cruise control, tilt? Creature comforts (features) that come standard on some, don't come on others.Living room:

I guess without a price range I can't recommend anything specific. And maybe I wouldn't be the best recommend-er anyways, But I love my H/K receiver. I like the style of them as well as the sound

The new H/K's are attractively priced with all the feature/function that you would need. Check out the avr1600 on amazon, but I believe you'll have to upgrade to the 2600 to get pre-amp outs. Keep in mind, that the H/K site and Amazon have a typo - the AVR1600 is 35watts and not 50.Living room:

In any event, since it will get recommended eventually, make sure to get one with pre-outs. So you can use seperate amplification when the time invariably comes that you want more

Sorry the budget is around $600.00 Canadian.
