I know that some of us like this kind of stuff - I happened to make a poster for my friends here at work (in celebration of his birthday -he's been my partner in crime as for as the home theater hobby goes.)

It's a 18x24 inch 150 dpi poster I created for Dolby TrueHD and had printed on a color sheet printer and then framed...look pretty good too! :D There's one similar to it floating around the net and this is very much like it, except for a few tweaks! Enjoy!
(I'm working on a DTS one...I'll link it when its up.)

Let's give him a break, until proven otherwise, he's followed all the rules - it's not supposed to be guilty until proven innocent.... ;)

I still don't understand what I'm supposed to enjoy in this thread. I looked at the picture, I removed my pants and looked at the picture. I showed the picture to my dog (after I put my pants back on). Neither of us are filled with enjoyment right now.

    Cheers,
    Russ

    Yeah, my bad, sorry. :(

I just had a feeling once i started seeing the posts. Mainly just wanted to gloat a little that i was actually right for once.

I think the key is to show it to your dog with your pants off, though. Or get a cat. I think that'll be the missing puzzle piece. ;)

Is there not a link to the hi-res poster version of the TrueHD poster???
I had posted it up here becuz in some of the other forums there's a lack of free resources for home theater art showcasing DTS or DD capabilities. I know that in the end, we can also "buy" the professionally made poster, plaques, etc., but in my case (as with many) who have access to a color sheet printer or a larger than standard printer - for $10 bucks at Walmart, get a black frame, print out the hi-res poster and you've got some home theater art.

    That was the intent atleast.

I think that would require more than a sheet printer!

Although I do have some lenticular sheets - now THAT would be cool...have the poster change from TrueHD to DTS Master Audio capable depending on where you sit and all that is needed is to create the 2-frame image on the sheet printer....I think you've given me a pretty good idea!

Don't mind concealer404, he's new. Nobody really pays any attention to him anyhow.

The poster isn't my thing but if it was done by you, it's pretty snazzy! I'm also not above creating my own posters either. Especially when you can't find the one you want from one of the pros.

KASR, would you be able to ship something like that? I don't really want a DOLBY one, since my HT setup frankly, sucks, but i'd be interested in a print or two of others....

Beardog03, thank you! I'm starting to feel a bit better now. :D

Lenticular lenses are kinda like those plastic rulers we had as kids where depending on the angle you were looking at it, the picture would change or animate. If you've seen the CD cover for the TOOL Album Aenima, that's an example of lenticular lenses.

JStas - yea, I created the artwork based on another trueHD image I had seen (mostly just added the lens flare and the additional text....finding a large enough logo for the print was the real challenge!)

And I'm not offended by concealer...it's not my first go around on the interweb!

Absolutely - what do you have in mind? (shipping wise are you talking just the poster in a tube or the final framed version...obviously the tube would be cheaper) I'm looking for a good -hi-resolution version of the DTS Master Audio logo so I can tailor up a decent poster for that one.

Very cool - and most are at 100dpi, which is decent. I wouldn't try to push any of them to anything higher than tabloid size paper though.

There's nothing particularly high resolution about that image. It's just kida big. The edges on the Dolby logo are all screwed up :o

Anyways, might work fine for what you're using it for. :)

I suppose it depends on which one you are referencing - the polk forum attached one is screen (72dpi), the linked one is 150dpi@3600x2700 - the blurring came from increasing the pixel size of the original Dolby, which wasn't the best resolution (but not bad either), so some sacrificing came into play. You can tell the difference in the source when you compare the blown dolby graphic to the texted "trueHD" which should have solid lines. For the poster (18x24inch) it came out pretty good.
