Upgrading- what to keep?

Hi,
This is probably in the wrong forum area, but I wasn't too sure where to ask this.
I'd like to upgrade my system, probably to lsi15's and a new amp. That said, I thought I might ask whether or not it's worth keeping the gear I've currently got, and using it with the upgraded system.
The current rig is a pair of bose 301's (from about 18 years ago), a Polk C150 centre channel, a pair of Polk M series surrounds, and a Miller and Kreisel V75 sub.
The system original had a luxman amp, but when dolby digital came out, I bought a Rotel RSX RDS965RDS amp.
Unfortunately, I've never been happy with the Rotel amp (just got what the spotty faced salesman said was good). This time, I'm going to make sure I get it right.
The system will be set up in the corner of a room about 9m x 8m. I know it's not ideal, but that's what I've got.
Amp recommendations for the Lsi15's would also be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
regards,
craby

Welcome to Club Polk. I am not an HT guy, but I am sure others will welcome you and be of more assistance.
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Do you have a budget in mind?
I may consider moving the 301's as surround duty if you get the LSi's. Since the LSi's are 4 ohm speakers, you will need an external amp (which I'm sure you already know). Since you are not happy with the Rotel Amp in your current setup, I would recommend trying it with the LSI's first. If you still do not like it, sell the Rotel and look for another amp. There are tons out there. Again, a budget will help.
If you are doing a lot of HT, then you will want the matching center for the LSi's (LSiC) or else you may hear an uneven sound during sweeping effects across your front sound stage. IMO, surrounds are not as critical, but you may want to look into matching surrounds down the road. I prefer bipole/dipoles, so you could always look into the LSiFX's.
Good luck on your upgrades.
