Powering up 250W Amps

Hi Club Polk
I am wondering the safest way to plug in my B & K 200.1 250W Mono amps. Are these two big to plug into a unit like the APC H10? My dealer suggest always plugging amps into the wall. This present sort of a location problem. I am thinking of taking one outlet box and hard wiring a interface for an outlet box that I can run (like a cable) to the amps.
Am I over thinking this issue, and should just plug the amps into the same unit everything else in the rack is going into?
Thanks,
Rennrig

Does the APC have "high current" outlets? If so, it may not limit the amps as much."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Hi
It has two "high current" filter outlets. It is rated for 1000 watts continuous, and much higher for surges. Is the issue with conditioners "limiting" the amps? If so, what does this imply?
Thanks -

Welcome to the Club!
Very nice amps, I used to have the same Amps. I plugged them into
my Richard Gray power cond with no problems. Although into the wall
would be better.Linn AV5140 fronts

My UPS/Conditioner is rated for 1500VA continuous and I feel that it limits the dynamics of the few amps I've tried through it. Not terribly, but noticeable. I use a Richard Gray 400 Pro in my other rig and feel it's as close to plugging the amps into wall as you can get. When I get some extra funds I'm going to also purchase one for my HT rig's amps.
Give the conditioner a try, it may sound fine to you. If it sounds flat or lacking, you know what you need to do."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -
I run a Tripp Lite LCR2400 and love it! It seems to have the reserves I need to make my Epik Sentinel sub shake the house off of its foundation and keep the Parasound 2205 happy in very dynamic movie scenes....
It is no fluff clean power and has 2 banks of outlets, one for high current, and the other for regular devices. It works well for me.

Thanks Folks, this is great information and I think the bottom line is to try it and see how it works out, worse case I will plug them into the wall.
I have not heard of any safety issues regarding damaging equipment using one of these aforementioned devices??
Thanks -
I would try a panamax m5100 it has a timed amp plugs triggered off my receiver , plus panamax stands behind anything plugged into the unit .
Also my last one started to wear the releys out and panamax sent me a BRAND new one for $25 !
Great American company with a great product ! -

I have a couple of the panamax units. Another added benefit is that you can run a 12v trigger from your receiver to the panamax as a method of turning on and off the amps when you shut down the receiver.
I suspect that other companies conditioners will do this too.pop
