psw111 for music psw10 for movies. i was debating between these 2 then the sale on psw111 end. i got the psw10 (on sale and chaper),i feel it hard to blend with my RTI6. It does slightly better job than PSW111 in movies.
now im thinking either to get another psw10 or step up to Micropro 1000 or DSWPro500

That's a tiny room but I'd think the 111 would be PERFECT for it...a lot tighter more musical bass and it can go as low and lower than the PSW10...and has more a more powerful amp....it's also pricier!

PSW111 has more power and more controlled bass I would think that it would be better in general than the cheaper PSW10.....which has a tendency to chuff and bottom out...a lot of port noise from the PSW10 if you overdrive it for movies...

If I'm not mistaken the PSW111 has a 150 watt amp...the 10 is only 50 watts. And in terms of Dynamic or peak power the 111 has 3 x the power 300 watts vs. 100 watts for the PSW10...though the 10 reaches 2 hz lower that is NOT a hearable difference..and the 111 should play LOUDER with less PORT NOISE!!

THe 111 is better all-around for a small room...will put out less distortion.

I have a psw10 and actually fills the room sort of well. I do however wish that it could go lower for movies such as transformers and some music as well. That being said for a budget sub you can not go wrong with it. But I will say I wish I had waited to get something bigger. So my vote has to go with the psw1o as it just seems to be a great sub that can do what I want it to do. "at least until I get money for a bigger one"

    One tweak for each.

The 111 is light, and really tightens up with some added weight on top, like a 25lb bag of lead shot.

The 10 offers more volume, but the port can chuff at higher levels - adding a couple big fistfulls of Polyfill will remedy that in short order.

Both are great when used within their limitations.

    Cheers,

Not to hijack but what would be the next step up from a psw10? For someone that wants for bass for music and movies.

I just got the 111 today for free after getting 2 new rtia9's in cherry for 399 each at frys. I like the 111 better then the 10. My mom just got the 10 and it has too much port noise when running hard. The 111 has none. If you can deal with port noise then the 10 is the way to go. But all in all not alot of difference. Neither are monsters or very powerfull.
